Jemma McKenzie-Brown will not be in the next installment of High School Musical. Jemma, who played Tiara Gold in High School Musical 3, is now auditioning for other roles. She said:

‘I think it’s been decided they’re going for a whole new route with it which is a shame but I had a really good time doing the third one. I’m back to auditioning and have got some cool opportunities and good scripts so hope something..

..comes up! When I’m 16 and have left school I can start concentrating on other stuff and in ten years time I’ll hopefully have a film or two under my belt but I love theatre too so that would be fun.’

Costar Matt Prokop recently announced that he will not be taking part in the
next film, while other new Wildcat Justin Martin’s fate has yet to be revealed.

According to comic creator Josh Howard, his Viper Comics title DEAD @ 17 is in the works to become a feature film & Vanessa Hudgens may play the lead role.

Josh mentioned during a recent podcast with Comics on Comics that producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura [Transformers] has a movie in the works based on the comic and they’re pursuing Vanessa for the project.

Zac has been announced as a presenter at the 66th Golden Globe awards this Sunday. The awards will broadcast at 8PM EST/PST on NBC.

Lucas Grabeel’s film Milk has been nominated for Best Picture at the Producer’s Guild of America awards. In the past, these nominations have often mirrored the nominations for the Academy Awards (Oscars).
Also nominated for Best Picture is The Dark Knight, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon and Slumdog Millionaire.
The winners will be announced January 24th in LA.
